Wednesday, September 1, 2021 – Rabbit. Rabbit.
Happy Frankenstein Day!
1:30am: We took the dog outside.
We woke up. We took the dog outside. We fed the dog.
We took the dog outside. We got the newspapers.
We drank a cup of espresso. DRINK COFFEE. Drink Water.
We watched the Not Burning Man 2021 Livestream on YouTube.

1:45pm: Well, we are taking the day off the Blog.

5:01pm: Still taking the day off. We needed to sleep.
On The Menu: Peanut butter and strawberry jam on a bagel
and a couple iced espressos to drink during the day
8:00pm: We took the dog outside. We fed the dog.
We took the dog outside again. We brushed him out and he’s so pretty.
We took hime outside again, and now he’s taking a nappy.
On The Menu: 3 Hotdogs with bacon, cheese, mustard, and chopped onion;
a fried chicken wing, dill pickle, avocado, and an apple with an iced espresso to drink

Thursday, September 2, 2021 – Happy V-J Day!

the Japanese surrender to the Allied Forces in World War II.

12:55pm: Hey, it’s Thursday. Yes, we are here.
We woke up too early. We took the dog outside. We fed the dog.
We took the dog outside. We went back to bed.
The housekeeper came and worked a half day… kinda.
We got the newspapers and the mail. We took the dog outside again.
We’ve been chillin’ in the Home Office all day.
1:45pm: Really taking the day off today…..

8:30pm: We just woke up from a nap with the dog. We took the dog outside.
We went to the bank and the post office and the gas station today.
We went to the market, and parked, but there were TOO MANY PEOPLE inside.
We looked at all the cars in the parking lot, and then just drove home again.
The dog went outside earlier. And we fed the dog. And he went outside.
And then we fell asleep for an hour or so.
We haven’t eaten…. kinda. We ate two fried chicken drumsticks at 5:00pm.
VERY HUNGRY NOW.

8:50am: We woke up. The dogs went outside. The dogs got fed.
We got the newspapers and made an iced espresso.
And JoshWillTravel will not be traveling next week.
WE CANCELLED OUR LAS VEGAS RESERVATIONS THIS MORNING.
We had booked Three COMP nights at The Mirage Hotel & Casino (MGM MLife)
with a $50 food credit and $20 FREE play for the week after Labor Day.
We booked it once we were Fully Vaccinated, before the Delta Variant Surge,
and we were really looking forward to going…. fucking CoronaVirus.
We called and waited ON HOLD (w/really bad muzak) for an Reservation Specialist
and we tried to reschedule for October or November,
but because the “offer had expired” we just cancelled it. Just a BIG BUMMER.
We will rebook when (or if) it is safe to travel and be in public spaces again.
This was supposed to be our first vacation trip in 18 months, but there are
TOO MANY UNMASKED AND UNVACCINATED PEOPLE OUT THERE RIGHT NOW.
And we still thought about going, not cancelling, but it just doesn’t feel safe to go.
We are not the only one….. there were thousands of cancellations in the last week.
And it’s also why we didn’t make travel plans for “Not Burning Man 2021” this week.
But a lot of people went – there are thousands of campers in the Black Rock Desert!
We have been watching the LiveStream from The Playa and it look really wild and fun….
But there’s still a CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC and it is not socially responsible to go.
Also, there is NO INFRASTRUCTURE (port-a-potties, medical services, etc.)
and it just isn’t safe to be “socializing” with (masked or unmasked) strangers.
WE TOOK AN AFTERNOON TRIP IN OUR AUTOMOBILE.
We got dressed and went out of the house.
We visited a friend (in-person) in his backyard.
It was HOT but beautiful and rewarding…. good deed of the day.
Always good to help a friend out.
And then we drove home, and there was a lot of traffic,
so we got back to the Home Office and took the dogs outside.
The dogs got fed. And we declined another party invitation.
NO! WE ARE NOT EATING AND DRINKING WITH STRANGERS!
WE ARE NOT EATING AND DRINKING WITH FAMILY AT THIS POINT!
SO FUCKING STUPID TO HAVE PARTIES OR ANY KIND OF GATHERING!
THE DELTA VARIANT IS REAL and it might kill you, even vaccinated people.
11:00pm: Happy Friday! Good Shabbos! Friday Night Fun?
We didn’t eat all day. And we are maybe hungry. If we eat, we will tear it up.
And we will eat eventually before dawn. Probably soon.
We are chillin’ in the Home Office with the dog and thinking about food.

and now the bases are loaded with all the pressure on the pitcher.

Infield hit and fielded by the Dodgers, Force Out at Home Plate.
2 Outs, bases loaded….. will the Dodgers choke now?
AND THE DODGERS CHOKE ON THE THROW TO FIRST BASE!!!!
Infield hit and fielded by the Dodgers,
but the throw to First Base was WIDE AND HIGH…..
Did he get his toe on the bag before the runner touched? NO!!!!
GIANTS WIN 3-2 HAHAHAHAHA! (on an error on the throw)
and ~90% of the fans in the stadium weren’t wearing masks….
11:20pm GAME OVER! We made an iced espresso.
