Friday, May 21, 2021 – National Anti-Terrorism Day

8:00am: The dogs went outside. The dogs got fed. The dogs went outside.
We drank two cups of espresso. Drink Coffee. Drink Water.
It’s National Pizza Party Day! We ate a cold piece of leftover pizza. PARTY!
We finished binge-watching the first season of “Resident Alien” on SyFy Channel.
It was GREAT! We really enjoyed the 10 episodes based on the Dark Horse Comic.
Starring Alan Tudyk (“Firefly”, “28 Days”, “Death at a Funeral”) who we absolutely love!
12:20pm: We fell asleep at 9:00am. And we woke up just before Noon.
We needed that nap. And now we are awake.
We took the dog outside. It’s a beautiful day outside today.
Going to be beautiful all week! “Always in motion is the future.”
Friday Pursuit ends at Highland and Delongpre in Hollywood.
Spike strip. Jeep fishtailing wildly.
Traffic accident – Hits a car and loses the front end and the rear shell.
Out of control – hits the Ryder truck head-on at slow speed.
Tries to reverse several times, but no steering or front wheels.
LAPD rear ends the car and traps it. Short standoff. Non-lethal weapons deployed.
LAPD moves in, maces and then pulls driver from the car. Suspect in custody.
YEAH IT’S FRIDAY!
2:15pm: We drank another cup of espresso. We took the dogs outside.
On The Menu: we ate three slices of leftover pizza for lunch.

6:00pm: We took a nap. We slept for a couple hours.
We were going to do errands today, but nothing was time sensitive, so we didn’t.
Maybe on Monday. The dogs went outside. The dogs got fed supper.

8:40pm: Good Shabbos! We fell asleep again and just woke up.
We made an iced mocha and ate our dessert first, before dinner.

Sunday, May 23, 2021 – World Turtle’s Day!

1:30am: We took a short nap after dinner. And so we just woke up.
We baked a half dozen chocolate chip cookies and ate two.
3:00am: LIVE from Central LA on YouTube. Amazing.
Just watched LAFD pull someone out of a car using the “Jaws of Life” LIVE too.
And we love SMOKE’N’SCAN II live on YouTube following the Police Scanners!
5:20am: We took the dogs outside again. The little boy ate something he wasn’t supposed to and threw up a few times in the “play pen” so we cleaned it up and now he’s sleeping in there.
And we just ate two more chocolate chip cookies and drank a cup of espresso.
Drink Coffee. Drink Water. Don’t Panic.
We get really stressed when one of the dogs (or any animal) is sick or injured.
So we’re watching him sleep and making sure he doesn’t throw up again.

3:10pm: Recapping the morning. We fell asleep and woke up about 9:00am.
We took the dogs outside. We fed the dogs.
The little boy didn’t eat. That’s not good. So we took the dogs outside again.
And they were chillin’ with us in the Home Office all day.
And we went outside again and again, so they could do business if necessary.
We just tried to feed the little boy some white rice and carrot but he didn’t eat.
(Yeah, we made some white rice). So now we’ll wait until suppertime and try again.
We took the dogs outside again and now they’re napping in the bedroom.
Choreboy was here. We cleaned the “play pen” and laundered the dog beds.
We vacuumed the Home Office and started our “Spring Cleaning” and purge.

10:35pm: Recapping Sunday evening.
We took the dogs outside. We fed the dogs. The little boy was hungry and ate.
He ate his entire supper and a little extra rice and carrots from earlier.
He seems to fine now. We took them outside. And outside again.
They were in the Home Office this evening after we finished cleaning for the day.
And now they are in the bedroom napping, so we can figure out dinner.
All we ate today was a dill pickle, a toasted cheese sandwich, and the two remaining chocolate chip cookies, so we’re kinda hungry now. And we just drank a cup of espresso.
We watched TV, surfed the interweb (mostly YouTube), and watched the original “Fun With Dick and Jane” again (with George Segal RIP, Jane Fonda, and Ed McMahon)

NOTE: We can’t set up another Blog Post right now, so Monday gets added here.
8:45am: So little boy was fine all night, then he woke us up this morning,
he’s so smart, he let us know he had to go out… and we took the dogs outside.
And then he threw up outside, and had diarrhea, and then didn’t want to eat chicken and rice for breakfast, so now we’re really worried about him. VERY FRUSTRATED THIS MORNING.
And we didn’t sleep enough, and the housekeeper is coming to clean today, and we actually have stuff to do for a change…. and we just want to go back to bed again. STAY TUNED.
Oh, and we fed the dogs, got the newspapers, and had a cup of espresso.
9:20am: We took the dogs outside again. And now they’re resting the bedroom.
Time for Breakfast! We didn’t really eat yesterday. So we had to stop and make food.
On The Menu: Steak and Eggs. Thin-cut NY steak, 2 eggs over medium, a toasted croissant with butter, a swig of orange juice and an iced espresso to drink
Justed banged it out, ate, and we feel a little better now.
1:15pm: We took the dogs outside again. Then we went back to bed.
We slept for a little bit and then took the dogs outside again.
It’s a beautiful day outside, but it’s HOT. Currently 91 degrees in the backyard. HOT.
The housekeeper was here and cleaned.
She just left, so now we’re going to go to the kitchen and make an iced coffee.
1:40pm: We made an iced coffee. We took the dogs outside again.
5:15pm: FUCK. We took a little nap. We woke up and took the dogs outside.
Now we are going to take the little boy to the urgent care Veterinarian….
9:15pm: We took a shower. We fed the little girl.
And then we took the little boy to the vet. And we waited. And waited.
NOTE: Our regular Vet wouldn’t do an Emergency appointment when we called at 4:40pm.
The Woodland Hills Pet Emergency was BOOKED SOLID and couldn’t see him,
so we drove to Studio City and they saw him at our backup Vet Clinic.
*****So he appears to be okay, which is a total relief!***** Only $540
But the throwing up and bloody diarrhea made us STRESS HARD….
And we left him at the vet for 1-2 hours as required and went home.
We took the little girl outside and she is doing fine.
Now we’re chilling in the Home Office waiting for the call to go back and pick him up.
And they just texted! 935pm
Tuesday 12:35am: Recapping our Monday evening.
So we drove back to Studio City and picked up the little boy at the Vet.
He was very happy to see his “human” and happy to go home.
So he’s on medication for a week. But he seems to be okay now.
We didn’t eat, so we made a quick dinner. We cooked the frozen pizza,
and then we picked up the pup, and then we reheated the pizza before eating it.
On The Menu: Frozen pepperoni pizza with cheese, folded in half.
We ate the whole thing at midnight and drank an iced espresso.
And suddenly it was DoNotTravelTuesday morning……….
