CV! Part 168 – Another DoNotTravelTuesday!
And Wednesday, Thursday too (Tuesday-Wednesday)

Tuesday, JUNE 1, 2021 – Yeah, it’s JUNE, man.
Rabbit. Rabbit.
12:13am: LAS VEGAS IS 100% OPEN.
There was a 26 mile traffic backup on the I-15 south going home to Los Angeles today!
Live Music returns to The Fremont Street Experience and there are no more mask or social distancing requirements as of midnight May 31st. Oh that’s RIGHT NOW! 
Zowie Bowie and the other bands take the stages in Downtown
on The Fremont Street Experience! Las Vegas is rockin’ it at Midnight (Tuesday AM)
We finally watched “Never Surrender”, the “GalaxyQuest” documentary this morning.
AND IT WAS SO GREAT! So much fun and really well done. We highly recommend it.
We also watched “Eye of the Beholder” about the art of Dungeons & Dragons.
And it was also GREAT. They talk about 13 year old white kids playing D&D with their friends in their basements, before the internet and AOL, and before video games (the age of Atari was just beginning), and that was us, but we never had a basement to play in.
AND THE ART! Dragons, Wizard, Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, Barbarians, and MONSTERS!
It was a nice history of the art of D&D, the evolution as the game grew, and the legacy that the artists have left for the next generation. Both documentaries were really interesting to us.
6:15am: And we slept for a little bit. Stay awake until we pass out….
then wake up and smell the coffee. We drank a cup of espresso.
Drink Coffee. Drink Water. FUCK.
The dogs went outside. The dogs got fed. The dogs went outside.
The newspapers were recovered from the driveway. out front.
JUNE GLOOM. It’s gray again this morning, but it’s going to be a sunny day later.
Not unusual weather in the SFV for the first day of the new month.
We drank another cup of espresso. We don’t want to be angry today.
10:30am: We ate a peanut butter, banana and honey sandwich on toasted challah bread.
We cleaned up our desk again. We watched another hour-long documentary about Pink Floyd on AmazonPrime and then took the dogs outside. And now we are all back in the Home Office again on Tuesday morning.
2:05pm: We took a nap. We took the dogs outside. We made an iced espresso.
Tuesday afternoon. And it’s really sunny and HOT outside now. Beautiful day.
4:40am Wednesday: Recapping Tuesday.
We took a nap. We woke up and ate Mexican food that was delivered.
On The Menu: Cold chicken tacos on corn tortillas with onion and cilantro.
Okay, so we’ve been “intermittent fasting” or just not eating all day.
And we’ve lost some weight. We are even below our pre-pandemic weight!
Next step is our Burning Man weight… and we’re getting there.
But we’re trying not to eat crap, or snack, and it seems to be working.
We eat one big meal a day, and sometimes something for breakfast.
And we usually don’t feel like cooking for one,
since we’ve done a lot of that for 15 MONTHS.
So, IT TOTALLY SUCKS WHEN THAT ONE MEAL IS NOT GOOD.
Half a Hamburger is not dinner. We FUCKING HATE CILANTRO!
The dogs went outside. The dogs got fed. The dogs went outside.
We took another nap. We woke up.
We watched TV, we surfed the interweb, we played with the dogs.
We fell asleep again, and woke up after midnight.

9:30am: Okay, we’ve been up since after midnight…. and we can’t sleep now.
The dogs went outside. The dogs got fed. The dogs went outside.
We drank two cups of espresso. We ate a toasted croissant with butter.
We ate two slices of cold leftover pizza around 4:30am.
1:40pm: We took a shower. We got dressed.
We went to the bank.
We went to the dentist and had our teeth “deep cleaned”
We went home. We took the dog outside. Now we’re back in the Home Office.
We finished binge-watching “Enslaved” with Samuel L. Jackson, a documentary series about the Transatlantic Slave Trade with a scuba diving twist. Slavery Sucks! And EPIX is FREE until the 6th right now, so we are enjoying their channel’s exclusive content this week.
“Enslaved” is a six-episode docuseries that explores 400 years of human trafficking from Africa to the New World by following the efforts of Diving with a Purpose, as they search for and locate six slave ships that went down with their human cargo.
Samuel L Jackson traces his ancestry to Gabon, visiting the coastal area in Loango National Park to see where his enslaved ancestors were shipped in their millions to the Americas.
ENSLAVED: made (a human being) a slave.

Over 2 Million Africans died during more than 45000 voyages and over 400 years of trade.

We ordered a Chinese food delivery, and now we’re waiting.

So far it’s been pretty incredible. And (Bandleader) Will Lee on bass!
And hosts like Jeff Garlin, BILL MURRAY, and Tina Fey so far.
Playing LIVE in front of a LIVE AUDIENCE of first responders with real passion.
THIS MAKES US SO HAPPY! And they are so happy to be playing live again.

And we ate dinner and really enjoyed the show.
On The Menu: Chinese food. Kung pao chicken and orange peel beef
with steamed rice and a ginger ale to drink.
11:45pm: We took the dogs outside. We took a nap with the dogs.
We woke up, and the dogs went outside again.
So, we put on the Joe Bonamassa performance from earlier tonight again.
It was smokin’ hot. And then the jam with Joe, Warren Haynes, Robert Randolph,
Jimmy Vivino, Will Lee, and the band “GOIN’ DOWN” was OFF THE HOOK!
Might as well enjoy it again and again. LIVE MUSIC for a LIVE AUDIENCE. Yeah.
No children, but it’s burned into memory….
