Puppy Update! End of January 2017

Puppy Update! End of January 2017

The puppies have grown and have a great life! They get constant love and attention. The Big Boy has accepted them as family and has come to tolerate their antics (to a point).

The little girls had their “Lady Parts” surgery and have fully recovered! There was a little bit of worry about the psychological trauma but everyone is better now. Their behavior is back to normal and they went and had a checkup yesterday at the clinic and all is well.

Little Pink Bellies – August 29, 2016

Winter weather here in Los Angeles and it has been very cold, so we’ve gotten the puppies a selection of warm sweaters, fleece coats and “Thundershirt” wraps. They have complete run of our office and the kitchen, and enjoy sleeping on the bed, on their dog bed and on the big pillow in the dog pen. They learned very fast how to jump out of the pen, so it’s always open, they come and go as they please and we use it as a play area and as a place to keep all their toys, bones and chew rags.

They’ve been doing work on the backyard and there have been some big changes to the house in the last few months. We took out all of the lawn and roses and landscaped with brick patio and rock. It looks really good, reduces watering to once a week and helps to conserve water (and lower the DWP bill). They love to run around the big backyard and we built a beautiful covered dog run to provide them with a safe outdoor space to play.

The New Covered Dog Run in the Backyard

Both are very smart, they are learning and responding well to training. They’re spoiled and still prefer to be indoors. They love being with people and always want to be part of the action. Bandit hasn’t loss her edge: she will go through any open door, stick her nose into and try to eat everything unless she’s corrected. She’ll find any small piece of plastic, paper scraps, wood or sticks, leaves, etc. and try to chew and/or eat them. And she’s really cute which makes all of it adorable.

The Bear seems almost twice as big as little Bandit now, but they play and wrestle like they’re the same size. Bandit is still pretty small and she fits perfectly in my lap and Bear has grown too big to be a lap dog. And both are still growing more everyday!
