Dead & Co. Summer Tour 2016 – On The Road (again)!
Dead & Company headlined Sunday, June 12th at Bonnaroo 2016 in Manchester, Tennessee and are now on the road for a two month summer tour!

The two sets from Sunday were livestreamed via Bonnaroo website and Redbull TV. Most of the live streaming coverage over the weekend was unwatchable because of connection problems, but the Dead&Co. stream we watched was mostly smooth. There were also a few livestreams from the audience on Periscope broadcast during the show.
Donna Jean joined the band onstage for the first time.

After the encore, at the end of their performance, Bob Weir made a brief personal statement on the Mass Shooting at Pulse, a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida that killed 50 human beings and injured 53 other people and the horrible comments by right-wing hate mongers that followed.
After referencing Georgia congressman Rick Allen (who said gays were worthy of death) and Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick (who said gay Orlando murder victims were reaping what they sow), Bob continued, “Now, I wanna ask a question. How different are these peoples’ world views from the world views of the people with ISIS? It’s the same hatred. They pull those hatreds out of different books.”
