TravelAlert-614x201
Bad weather? Missed Flight? Travel Emergency? Who ya gonna to call?

WARNING! The COVID-19 DELTA VARIANT IS SPREADING!
Fully Vaccinated people can still get infected, and can still spread the virus.
Is anyone getting tested anymore? What about the vaccinations?
Who is vaccinated? Who isn’t vaccinated? HOW CAN YOU TELL?
DO YOU BELIEVE THE GOVERNMENT? THE NIH? THE CDC? THE SCIENCE?
There are currently at least eleven COVID-19 Variants being watched.
(and a new one from Vietnam that no one is talking about yet….)

Monday, July 5, 2021 – “Beyond the Fourth of July”
(but not “Born on the 4th of July”… but absolutely “Born in the USA”)

When Independence Day falls on a Sunday,
the following Monday is a Federal Holiday
and a State Holiday in all US states except Texas.

7:10am: We woke up. That’s good.

8:25am: We took the dogs outside. We fed the dogs.
We took the dogs outside again. We got the newspapers.
We drank a cup of espresso. Drink Coffee. Drink Water.
We scooped the poop. It’s already a beautiful day. The sun is shining.
And it’s still too early.

On The Menu: We baked fudge brownies this morning after midnight.
And we ate one around 3:00am and it was great. Yeah brownies!

4:30pm: And so it goes. Monday, that is. And it’s already almost evening now.
We took the dogs outside a few times. We played with the dogs.
We slept with the dogs all afternoon. No mail today. No housekeeper today.
And we didn’t mean to sleep the day away, but we were all pretty stressed out.
We woke up. We ate another brownie (in small pieces) and some tortilla chips.
We need to eat some real food. We should do some other stuff too.
And it’s almost time to feed the dogs again.

6:10pm: We have the dogs food set up. And it’s time.
We’ve been watching YouTube…. and stuff. And time is fleeting.

Recapping Monday night. We took the dogs outside.
We fed the dogs. We took the dogs outside.
We watched TV and surfed the interweb. We wasted another day away.
We played with the dogs. We chilled with the dogs. Nothing happened.
We took the dogs outside. We were uninspired about cooking.
We made some dinner by putting frozen food in the oven.

On The Menu: Frozen lasagna

National Fried Chicken Day!

New-Dalai-Lama-quote
Happy 86th birthday Tensen Gayatso, the Dalai Lama!

On this day in 1970, California passes 1st “no fault” divorce law.
And for this reason, we are eternally gratefu! to the Golden State!

NOTE: SIX MONTHS AGO, TRUMP AND THE GOP TRAITORS
TRIED TO OVERTHROW THE GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES!

THE GOP TRAITORS ARE LYING TO YOU!
DON’T BELIEVE THEIR LIES!
YOU KNOW WHAT REALLY HAPPENED!
YOU SAW IT WITH YOUR OWN EYES!

9:30am: Do Not TravelTuesday! (Yeah, right, that will work…)
We woke up. We took the dogs outside. We took the dogs outside again.
We fed the dogs. We took the dogs outside again. We got the newspapers.
We made a double iced espresso. We have stuff to do today. No, really.
It’s a beautiful day already and we are trying to get motivated to go out.

3:10pm: FUCK.
We just spent 3 hours trying to decide if we wanted to go to Las Vegas.
Road trip. Comp room. A couple nights on The Strip. Food&Beverage Credit.
We really want to go. And it would be cheap to stay and play.
New hotels and casinos to explore too
(Circa, Resorts World and Virgin are all open now)
But, gas is really expensive. And it’s a long road trip, there and back.
(“arvage” price per gallon today in Los Angeles = $4.33)
It’s really HOT there this week REALLY HOT. 115 Degrees. And we don’t like it HOT.
And there is still a COVID-19 Pandemic in progress. The Delta Variant is spreading.
We know that not everyone is Fully Vaccinated in Las Vegas….
and there’s no mask requirement or thought of social distancing.
And we almost went to Cambria (to stay at the beach),
which would have been only a little more expensive to book,
and probably less expensive as an alternate to Las Vegas. But we didn’t book.
And we looked at Yosemite, but it’s booked solid and would be too crowded right now.
SO, we are staying home this week again. Maybe. We don’t know. Whatever.
We have to run errands and do stuff. And there’s always tomorrow…..
TOMORROW! TOMORROW!

cropped-joshwilltravel

Recapping Tuesday. We ran our errands, drove around for a little bit, and came home.
The dogs went outside and got fed. We watched TV and surfed the interweb.
We played with the dogs. We took the dogs outside.

On The Menu: Steak (thin-cut top sirloin) and 2 fried eggs (over medium) ,
bacon and cheese sandwich on toasted sourdough, dill pickle, cherries,
strawberries,  and a mango nectar to drink

On this day in 1898, the United States annexed Hawaii.

Breaking News! President Jovenel Moīse of Haiti was murdered
in his home this morning. The media is calling it an assassination.

12:30am: We guess we were serious about Tomorrow.

4:15am: We woke up too early.

6:45am: We drank a cup of espresso. Drink Coffee. Drink Water.
7:10am: The dogs went outside. The dogs got fed. We got the newspapers.
We made another espresso. We ate 2 mini danish (ooooh, pastry!)

3:40pm: Recapping Wednesday morning. We didn’t do anything.
The dogs got taken care of, and they went outside. We got the mail.
We ate a fudge brownie for lunch. It is World Chocolate Day today!
213792644_4918219558204571_6373968572743264282_n

16:16 – We drank an iced espresso to chase the brownie.
We just ate some tortilla chips. And then some pita chips.

5:55pm: Okay, the dogs got fed. And we just ordered dinner for pickup.
The gardener came. The pool guy came. Fedex and UPS came.
We scooped the poop before the gardener came.
We did a load of laundry. We worked on a couple new Blog Posts.
(including this one) And now we’re going to go pick up our dinner.

We got dressed and drove there and back. We interacted with 3 people.

DONALD TRUMP AND THE GOP TRAITORS REMAIN
A CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER TO THE WORLD in Summer of 2021!

210448543_10159321808727346_236767245853019208_n

THE CORRUPT GOP TRAITORS MUST BE PROSECUTED FOR
TREASON, SEDITION, INSURRECTION, CRIMES AGAINST CHILDREN,
CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY and GENOCIDE!

DO NOT TRAVEL! JUST STAYTHEF*CKHOME!
And we confess, we made a hotel reservation!
But we are not traveling until after Summer.
NOW GAS PRICES ARE SPIKING! Any chance to gouge the consumer….
Rental car prices are TOO HIGH. Used Car prices are TOO HIGH!
Food costs are TOO HIGH! Blame Trump’s tariffs and COVID-19.
Now the cost of diesel fuel is going to send transport costs higher.
THE RUSSIAN RANSOMWARE ATTACK ON THE SOUTHERN PIPELINE
The cyber-attacks on the United States by our enemies are ACTS OF WAR!
WE MUST PROTECT OUR CYBER SYSTEMS FROM HACKERS!
WE MUST RETALIATE WITH A VENGEANCE!
AND WE MUST REPAIR AND RESTORE OUR CORRUPTED SYSTEMS!

E1Q8Fp1XIAUgwKM

NOTE: We published the above paragraph in a previous Blog Post (May 15, 2021):
2 months later, the Russian Ransomware Attack continues
(testing President Joe Biden’s response after meeting with Putin)

GAS PRICES ARE THE HIGHEST THEY HAVE BEEN IN OVER A DECADE!
Rental Car prices, hotel prices, used car prices, food prices, lumber prices….
GOUGE THE CONSUMER IS THE PLAN – And there’s no one to protect you.

The SOLARWINDS HACK HAS LEFT OUR COUNTRY VULNERABLE!
TRUMP DID THIS! HE IS A RUSSIAN ASSET! TOTAL FAILURE TO PROTECT US!

AND DO NOT TRUST THE 2020 CENSUS!
OR ANYTHING ASSOCIATED WITH THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION!

HAPPINESS IS A FUNDAMENTAL HUMAN GOAL! BE HAPPY TODAY!
The three key aspects that will lead to our well-being and happiness:
an end to poverty, a reduction of inequality, and the protection of our planet.

Mental health problems are common.
Seek help if you feel overwhelmed or unsafe!
If distress impacts your daily life for several days or weeks, talk to someone!
Talk to a clergy member, counselor, or your healthcare provider.
If you, or someone you know, are feeling overwhelmed with emotions like sadness, depression, or anxiety, or feel like you want to harm yourself or others, seek professional help immediately.

If you or someone you know is having suicidal thoughts, get help right away!
Call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-TALK (800-273-8255) to reach a trained counselor and press 1 to reach the Veterans Crisis Line.
You can also chat with them online at suicidepreventionlifeline.org/chat/.

NOTE:  if you TEXT 741741 when you are feeling depressed, suicidal or anxious, a crisis worker will text you back and continue to text with you? Many people, especially younger folks, do not like talking on the phone and would be more comfortable texting. It’s a free service to ANYONE: teens, adults, etc. who lives in the U.S. It’s run by The Crisis Text Line and is legit.

Los Angeles County Dept. of Mental Health has a collection of FREE guided meditations to reduce stress, and also FREE sleep and movement exercises at headspace.com/lacounty or contact them at DMH.LACounty.gov
