CV! part 174 – FRIDAY! And Saturday JUNETEENTH and Sunday too. (Fri-Sat-Sun)
Friday, June 18, 2021
9:30am: We woke up at 5:30am. We were up and then went back to bed.
Did not sleep well. Woke up several more times before getting out of bed.
The dogs went outside. The dogs got fed.
And FUCK, the afternoon can’t get here fast enough.
10:45am: Our shoulder is f*cked up and we’re in pain. Pain hurts.
Today is just starting off real sh*tty.
3:00pm: Our day is a little better. We drank an iced espresso.
Drink Coffee. Drink Water. Feel Better.
Our shoulder was really bad, so we iced it for a little bit, and now it’s a little better.
It’s a beautiful day and really hot outside. The dogs are napping in the bedroom.
We are sitting here in silence on Friday afternoon, and it’s just real quiet right now.
The exterminator came to spray around the house earlier,
and there was a lot of gardener noise in the neighborhood this morning,
We stayed in the Home Office most of the morning, moaning about our shoulder.
4:10pm: We took the dogs outside. It’s HOT. And it’s a dry heat.
Now we are chilling’ in the Home Office with the dogs, and it’s nice and cool.
And we haven’t eaten any real food today…. so we’re kinda hungry.
FUCK. The gardeners across the street are here.
And they have really loud lawnmowers and leaf blowers….and they suck.
SO, we’re going to eat early supper now. Yeah, that’s the ticket.
11:50pm: Recapping Friday. We fell asleep instead of supper.
We woke up and it was time to feed the dogs. We took them outside too.
We made breakfast for dinner.
On The Menu: 2 eggs over medium, bacon, twice cooked potato,
toasted bagel with cream cheese, plum, nectarine, banana,
cran-raspberry-orange juice and an iced espresso to drink
We took the dogs outside again. Now they’re sleeping in the Home Office,
Our shoulder still hurts. And it hurts a lot when we lay down.
We stopped, took the little dog outside again, put the dogs in the bedroom,
and made an icepack for our shoulder. So Ice on, Ice off now.
Remembering our old friend, poet Pagan Neil, today on his birthday.
He passed over on March 3, 2016. May his memory be a blessing!
He previously gave us permission to use his pics with credit given.
He reported us to Facebook and we got our first “copyright strike”.
He was on our Friend list and there wasn’t any bad blood between us….
But really? He didn’t message us. SO WE BLOCKED HIM!
YEAH, THAT’S RIGHT! AND FUCK HIM TOO!
GOODBYE! WE DON’T DO FACEBOOK DRAMA!
AND FUCK HIM AGAIN FOR BEING A NARC!
This was a picture of a DEAD MAN.
Pagan Neil RIP – May his memory be a blessing.
One Old A**hole Blocked. BUH-BYE. Oh, and “karma’s a bitch” too.
Saturday, June 19, 2021 – JUNETEENTH!
I’m not shopping the Juneteenth “White Sale”, sorry.
Juneteenth is a celebration commemorating the end of slavery in the United States.
Now it is an official Federal Holiday, signed into law by President Joe Biden just this week.
On June 19, 1865 (156 years ago), over two years after President Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation, Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas and declared that slavery was over.
The Emancipation Proclamation of 1863, freed the slaves in Confederate states,
but had no effect on the states under Confederate control where slavery still existed.
10:00am: We didn’t sleep well last night.
Mostly because for our shoulder. We finally took a prescription pill.
(we never take them because they make us feel groggy all the next day)
We woke up and took the dogs outside. Then we fell asleep again.
We woke up and took the dogs outside and then we fed the dogs.
We made an iced espresso and yes, we feel groggy/sleepy tired….
And our shoulder is still sore this morning, but improving.
2:30pm: We went back to sleep, and woke up at12:30pm. We took the dogs outside.
Then we went back to bed. We slept for another two hours and just woke up.
We took the dogs outside and made an iced espresso. And now it’s time for lunch.
On The Menu: peanut butter and raspberry jam sandwich on toasted Hawaiian bread.
9:50pm: Recapping our exciting Saturday…
We ate the sandwich. We took a nap. We woke up and took the dogs outside.
We drank an iced espresso. We fed the dogs. We took the dogs outside.
We ran some errands…. they’re still locking the Post Office Lobby Area with the PO Boxes.
NOTE: the Lobby area used to be open 24 hours before Louis DeJoy f*cked up the USPS
We went home and took the dogs outside and now we’re chillin’ in the Home Office.
One More Saturday Night! And we need to eat something now.
On The Menu:
Mac’n’Cheese with bacon, and a dill pickle, and an iced espresso to drink.
And we took the dogs outside again and gave them love.
Now they’re sleeping in the bedroom.
Sunday, June 20, 2021 – Father’s Day!
Sunday 2:15am: Well,
it’s a redneck tough guy classic Saturday Night double feature marathon tonight.
“Every Which Way But Loose” with Clint Eastwood and
“White Line Fever” with Jan Michael Vincent
7:45am: We slept a little. We woke up and took the dogs outside.
We fed the dogs. We took the dogs outside. We got the newspapers.
10:10am: We went back to bed. We woke up pretty quick.
We took the dogs outside. We made an iced espresso.
Choreboy did the dishes and a load of laundry, More stuff to come today.
It’s Father’s Day. We are not attending a party in Ventura County this morning….
Too far to travel. We are bummed we can’t attend the celebration for our Stepfather.
And we miss our Dad. He passed in 2018. May his memory be a blessing.
So, today is a sh*tty day on social media. We are “standing by” today.
3:35pm: Well we took the dogs outside again. Then we had a little siesta.
We woke up and made another iced espresso. Now we have to eat something.
4:45pm: WE JUST SAVED A LOST DOG!
Hey, look what’s in our driveway! It’s a dog, not one of ours…..
We went to the front door and it was there waiting for us.
And there was no owner in sight. It’s only 82 degrees out, so it’s HOT.
He was very friendly, and clean, so we brought him inside out of the heat.
He had a harness and collar, but NO TAGS! We got him some water.
We took him into the kitchen and outside.
He was very happy and peed on everything.
We got a leash and took him out front. Still no owner in sight….
so we took him into the Home Office and then outside again.
He was very happy and peed on everything.
We checked his collar and his name and number were embroidered on it.
We called the number, and asked “Did you lose something?”
It was our neighbor on the corner, it was his daughter’s dog,
and then he and his daughter came and got their dog from us.
OUR GOOD DEED FOR THE DAY WAS DONE!
And No Masks were involved….. Nice dog too. And he liked me, it was obvious.
Then we got our dogs and let them sniff up the house, and Home Office.
We took them outside, into the kitchen, and outside again.
So, they sniffed on the other dog inside and out, and they peed and pooped.
Now they’re in the bedroom, and we are going to be Choreboy for a bit.
7:15pm: Choreboy finished the laundry and cleaned and watered the little yard..
We took the dogs outside. We fed the dogs. We took the dogs outside again.
We drank an iced espresso and a glass of juicy juice.
We ordered a pizza delivery. Now Choreboy is going to scoop the poop…
7:56pm: Eating great pizza as we type this!
On The Menu: Pizza delivered! Perfect timing! We are a good tipper.
Extra-Large Sausage and Meatball Pizza and a Coke.
It’s the SUMMER SOLSTICE!
