It’s NATIONAL ROAD TRIP DAY! THE FRIDAY BEFORE MEMORIAL DAY!
Gas prices are spiking! Holiday demand is sky high.
$4.21 per gallon is the average price for gas in Los Angeles County today.
2:30am: We fell asleep and slept for a couple hours with the little boy.
We just woke up and took him outside.
3:45am: Watching the first season of “Friends” now.
And we just drank a cup of espresso.
We ate a toasted onion bagel with cream cheese.
Drink Coffee. Drink Water. Eat Bagels. Watch “Friends”
8:40am: We fell asleep with the dog.
We woke up. We took the dog outside. We fed the dog.

3:13pm: We took a short nap with the dogs We woke up and took them outside.
It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood today and going to get hotter all this week:
There was a short pursuit, we didn’t see.
The suspect pulled over and surrendered. One in custody.
And there was another pursuit today in Hollywood!
Ended with an accident at Santa Monica and Highland. One DUI suspect in custody!
7:25pm: We didn’t do anything today. We stayed home. We took nap with the dogs.
We ate the last two pieces of leftover pizza and drank an iced espresso.
We took the dogs outside. We fed the dogs. We took the dogs outside.
We just made another cup of espresso. And now it’s Friday evening.

The little boy is feeling good. He’s back to normal and eating regular food again.

Saturday, May 29, 2021 – Put A Pillow On Your Fridge Day
(more like scream into a pillow today….)
8:40am: Starting off Saturday with a FUCK.
We finally fell asleep about 6:00am, and got woken up again………
We took the dog outside. We fed the dog. We took the dog outside again.
We made an iced espresso. We ate a bowl of strawberries and banana.

1:22pm: Okay we are just done today. FUCK.
We saw our stepbrother today for the first time in 18 months!
NO MASKS. We are both Fully Vaccinated and have been totally isolated.
And now all the other dogs are sick…. and we are so upset. FUCK.
So we’ll have the vet results on Tuesday because of the holiday. FUCK.
We binge watched CNN’s “History of Comedy” on TV.

THE (not-so-secret) WORD OF THE DAY:
8:40pm: It has been a son-a-bitch day. ANGRY AND FRUSTRATED.
We left three of the dogs in care of someone on Friday and now two are sick.
THIS IS AFTER THE EMERGENCY THIS WEEK WITH THE LITTLE BOY!
AFTER MANY REQUESTS NOT TO LET THEM OUTSIDE UNSUPERVISED!
Fecal samples went to the Vet, results on Tuesday. Fuzzy Girl went to the ER Vet.
She’s fine now, but she was throwing up, so we are not taking chances.
And the Big Boy threw up and has diarrhea too. SO UPSET WHEN THEY ARE SICK.
He’s such a good boy. He let us know and waited until we took him outside to puke.
They are all resting in the bedroom now. And so we just made an iced espresso.
We ate a toasted croissant with butter and drank a cup of espresso earlier. That’s it.
And are we hungry yet? NO. WE ARE REALLY UPSET AGAIN.
And we have a STRESS HEADACHE. Trying to calm down now.

4:20am: HAPPINESS IS A WARM PUPPY. We held the little girl for hours tonight.
And she needed a little grooming. So we fixed the little girl’s face and trimmed her ears.
Now she’s back to bed…. after making us go outside three times
because there’s something in the bushes moving around…. probably a rat or squirrel.
5:55am: We haven’t slept…. been up with the little girl who won’t stay still.
So we took her into the kitchen and then outside again.
We ate a toasted croissant with butter. We drank a cup of espresso.
Drink Coffee. Drink Water. Have a Nice Sunday….
3:00pm: Recapping Sunday morning now. We were up with the dogs.
The dogs went outside. The dogs got fed. The little girl didn’t eat. FUCK.

We went back to bed and slept. We woke up and drank an iced espresso.
We took the dogs outside again. Now they’re chillin’ and so are we.
7:45pm: We fell asleep and woke up after 6:00pm.
We ordered dinner for pickup. We took a shower and got dressed.

Monday, May 31, 2021 – MEMORIAL DAY MONDAY!
2:15am: Well, it’s Memorial Day again.
The Federal holiday honoring and mourning military personnel
who have died in the performance of their military duties
while serving in the US Armed Forces.
THEY GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR OUR COUNTRY!
THANK THEM FOR THEIR SERVICE. (posthumously)
THANK THEIR FAMILIES FOR THEIR SERVICE.
And THANK YOU to all Active Duty Military Personnel
and our Veterans for their service for our country!
6:00am: So we were watching YouTube vids in the wee hours of the morning
and we fell down the Epicurious rabbit hole…. and they made us really hungry!
So we made Sunday Brunch at ate it at 6:00am on Monday.
On The Menu: 2 eggs over medium, bacon, toasted croissant with butter, celery with peanut butter, carrot sticks, a banana, blueberries, strawberries, and an iced espresso to drink
10:00am: The dogs went outside. The dogs got fed and medicated.
We just drank another cup of espresso. Drink Coffee. Drink Water.
11:30pm: Recapping Monday.
We took a short nap at 1:00pm. We woke up at 3:00pm.
Then we got dressed and drove to Culver City and back. Why, you ask?
To pick up some “The Simpsons” Posters that a friend was giving away.
Because of the holiday, there was almost no traffic going and none coming back.
We made some dinner at 10:00pm.
On The Menu: Turkey, cheese and avocado sandwich on a toasted brioche bun
with carrot and celery sticks, avocado, strawberries, and an iced espresso to drink
Watched the Las Vegas Livestreams, and was entertained….
LAS VEGAS IS 100% OPEN.
We’ve been going on and on for months about Las Vegas, the COVID-19 Pandemic, the crowds, the masks, the social distancing, and the GREED v. PUBLIC HEALTH issues.
Live Music returns to The Fremont Street Experience in Downtown Las Vegas
and there are no more mask or social distancing requirements as of midnight May 31st.
Oh that’s in TEN MINUTES!
There was a 26 mile traffic backup on the I-15 south going home to Los Angeles today!
THERE WERE WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE IN LAS VEGAS THIS WEEKEND!
And more than a few were still hanging around on Monday night!
Actually this woman got stuck on the zipline over The Fremont Street Experience.
They sent a guy down the line on a harness to retrieve her and pull her to the end.
She only hung there for one song, it must happen a lot,
because they were quick to clear the line and resume operation.
Kind of the perfect story for Las Vegas and their post-pandemic renaissance.
