International Waffle Day!
National Medal of Honor Day!
2:30am: We finally made some food.
On The Menu: 2 eggs over medium, bacon, 3 kinds of salami, pepper jack cheese,
dill pickle, avocado, baby carrots, pita chips, strawberries and an espresso to drink
Drink Coffee. Drink Water. Eat Bacon.
Remember how lucky you are to have food to eat and a warm place to sleep.
Clean water. Air conditioning. Shoes. Refrigeration. A bed. That’s all.
1:40pm: Thursday morning recap. We were up all morning and then the dogs got fed.
We fell asleep around 9:00am and then woke up. The housekeeper came and cleaned. We were awake for a little while, watched President Joe Biden’s first Press Conference, and then we went back to bed with the dogs and slept until after 1:00pm. We drank a cup of espresso and now we are updating this Blog Post.

4:05pm: We went to the dentist. It was not fun. It freaked us out.
HERE’S OUR STORY IF YOU’RE INTERESTED:
It was only an “exam” and it almost wasn’t even that. We went to a new dentist.
Our dentist of almost 40 years retired and sold his business to a good dentist.
We had a filling replaced in December by our doctor, and then he checked out in January.
So, we got dressed, we drove over (to the same office), we parked, we walked up the stairs to the second floor (no elevator rides with strangers, thank you) and down the hall to the office. There is a small waiting area and there was a woman seated inside, and she wasn’t wearing her mask, but it on when we came in. We stood and waited in the waiting room at the window for the receptionist for awhile. The woman in the waiting area told us we should call out because they were not there. So we called out, and two of the hygienists were eating in a side room, without masks of course, and there was only a half drawn curtain between that room and the reception area. We called out and one of the hyenists stuck her head out from behind the curtain and told us someone was coming. Another woman opened the office door to come inside, then backed up when she saw us in the waiting room, and closed the door. The receptionist came to the window, we watched her put her mask on as she finished some food, and when she got to the window her mask wasn’t covering her nose, and she handed us the clipboard and paperwork without sanitizing her hands. We took the clipboard and went out into the hall, as the woman waiting outside opened the door and entered. NO SOCIAL DISTANCING AT ALL. NOT SAFE. WE DID NOT FEEL SAFE. We should have just left then.
We filled out the paperwork in the hall, but didn’t sign the form because we hadn’t spoke with the dentist. We needed to talk about the conditions before agreeing to the COVID-19 “liability waiver”. So then we went back into the office and turned in the clipboard and went back into the hall. There was another woman at the desk, so four other people, plus the 2 or 3 hygienists in the office and the dentist makes eight (but he wasn’t back from lunch yet). While we were out in the hall, the first woman who was waiting decided not to stay. She came out of the office and said “I have to find a new dentist”. And the nurse/hygenist came and got us from the hall, and then we waited in the open exam space inside the office with all those people for about fifteen minutes, and we were really sweating and nervous. And we should have just left then.
WE WOULD HAVE WAITED LONGER IF THE FIRST WOMAN HADN’T LEFT.
We saw the dentist come back from lunch and he went into his office and put on a white coat, and then he came out and greeted another patient in another exam space. Meanwhile, we spoke with the nurse/hygenist who asked why we were nervous. We told her, and then we met the new dentist. And then we told him why we were nervous.
We were going to go to our bank on the way home, but there were too many cars in the parking lot out front and then we watched an old man walk in the doors as we pulled in. After our experience at the dentist, we just decided “not today, maybe tomorrow”, and then we pulled out and drove home.
6:20pm: We fell asleep with the dogs. And then we woke up.
The dogs went outside. And the dogs got fed. And the dogs went outside.
We drank a cup of espresso. We ordered a pizza delivery.
So food will soon be here, which is good, because we haven’t eaten all day.
Dinner was delivered. We ate. We took the dogs outside again.
On The Menu: Extra-large sausage and meatball pizza and a small Caesar salad.
Well, we watched some TV, and surfed some interweb. Then we fell asleep.
When we woke up it was 12:34am on Friday. A brand new day! It’s the weekend!

National Nougat Day!
Celebrate the soft and chewy or hard and crunchy candy!
Nougat is made by whipping egg whites with honey or sugar, roasted nuts, and sometimes candied fruit. Traditional nougat is made with almonds and honey and has been a around since ancient Rome. Enjoy it on its own as candy, combine it with chocolate and/or other flavorings.
There are three basic kinds of nougats:
White nougat is made with beaten egg whites and honey
Brown nougat is made without egg whites, has a firmer and often crunchy texture
Viennese or German nougat is made with chocolate and nut praline
In Spain, nougat is called turrón.
The United States version is made with corn syrup and called divinity.
In the United States, modern candy makers use a different recipe.
They use a mixture of sucrose and corn syrup mixed with egg whites, gelatin, or hydrolyzed soy protein. It is a common and widely used ingredient because it is inexpensive and used as a filler instead of more expensive ingredients.
12:50am: We just woke up and took the Big Dog outside.
We drank a small glass of juice. Now we’re chillin’ in the home office.
Random Thoughts on Friday Morning:
We are all going to die. That’s right. 100% of us will experience DEATH.
When will it be your turn? What’s going to happen to you? How will you die?
What will you do with the time you have left? It could all end tomorrow.
What will you do tomorrow? What did you do today?
We went to the dentist today. We might go to the bank tomorrow.
The Virgin Hotel and Mohegan Sun Casino opened today in Las Vegas, Nevada,
where the old Hard Rock Hotel (1995-2020) was at 4455 Paradise Road.
(and all the Vegas Vloggers were there, so there’s a lot of new vids online tonight)
5:15am: So we’re still awake.
We just drank our first cup of espresso. Drink Coffee. Drink Water. Eat Pizza.
We ate a cold slice of pizza for breakfast.
2:55pm: We fed the dogs. The dogs went outside. And then we went to bed.
We woke up and went back to bed. We drank a cold cup of espresso.
We took the dogs outside. Now we are awake and back in the Home Office.
IT’S A BEAUTIFUL DAY OUTSIDE! We drank a warm cup of espresso.
Maybe we’ll go back to bed again…….
LAPD arrested 182 protesters last night outside Echo Park.
The City of Los Angeles is cleaning out the homeless encampment. HAHAHA.
We are laughing at the City of LA, not the homeless. Garcetti is worthless.

THEY ARE THROWING MONEY AT DEVELOPERS BUT NOT THE HOMELESS.
The conditions for the homeless in LA during the pandemic haven’t improved.
The City of LA removed all the homeless and put them in apartment/motel spaces for who knows how long, except for two people who were arrested and forcibly removed by LAPD. Echo Park will now be cleaned and sanitized. And the homeless will be back next week.
STOP ASIAN HATE! Trump and the GOP Traitors did this.
Don’t forget about stopping HATE against African-Americans, Jews, Latinos, and
people from the Middle East. RACIST HATE CRIMES ARE UP ACROSS THE BOARD!
More protests around town today and tomorrow. Media eats it up. More DISTRACTION!
And now THIS! The Suez Canal is blocked by a very large container ship that got stuck sideways. They are working to get it unstuck…. and traffic is backing up.
TO THE TUNE OF NINE BILLION DOLLARS A DAY. You know someone’s getting fired.
The Suez Canal is a main shipping route for global trade.
So Evergreen Shipping and its insurance companies are going to have to pay, right?
And the news says to expect shortages of things like toilet paper (really?) and OIL.
Prices are already rising for gasoline, but they could go higher if oil shipments are delayed because of this stupidity.
7:30pm: Recapping Friday afternoon.
We watched YouTube vids – Virgin Hotel opening, Pompsie at Circa, etc.
We drank an iced espresso. We drank a warm espresso. Drank water too.
We slept for awhile. We woke up. We ordered sushi for dinner.
The dogs got fed and went outside.
We got dressed and went out and picked up the sushi.
We brought it home and ate it. It was good. Good Shabbos!
We are very freaked out about COVID-19 right now.

10:15pm: We fell asleep for a little bit after we ate.
We woke up and took the dogs outside.
And Las Vegas is busy tonight again…. what there’s a CoronaVirus Pandemic?

Saturday, March 27, 2021 – HAPPY PASSOVER!
Happy Birthday Quentin Tarentino!
It’s World Theatre Day!
2:35am: We watched “Saturday Night Fever” again.
But we stopped the film and got a couple of slices of leftover pizza to eat.
And an iced espresso to drink.
We watched the movie, and then fell down the Youtube rabbit hole again.
Now “RED” is on, with Bruce Willis, and we can watch it over and over,
and we have.
3;45pm: Recapping Saturday Morning: Nothing. We were still up at dawn.
The dogs got fed and went outside. We went back to bed. We slept for awhile.
We woke up and went outside with the dogs and then went back to bed.
It’s a beautiful day outside. We drank an espresso earlier.
We haven’t eaten yet today, not since the pizza after midnight, so we’re hungry now.
Jewish holiday time again! The first night of Passover is tonight.
Passover Seder 2014, in the past “social time” – 20+ guests for dinner every year….

The Hebrew term Yom Tov (יום טוב), means festival day, one of the six biblical festivals when activities prohibited on Shabbat are also prohibited. (except some food prep stuff).
On Yom Tov, as on Shabbat, it’s a mitzvah to refrain from work!
That means by not doing working, you’re doing a mitzvah and keeping the day holy.
The first day and last day of Passover are full “Yom Tov”,
and the rest of Passover has the status of intermediate days “Chol Hamoed”
Passover (aka Pesach aka “Ḥag haMatzot”, the Festival of Unleavened Bread)
Passover celebrates the Exodus from Egypt, the liberation of Israel from slavery.
The Passover holiday observance lasts seven days in Israel and eight outside Israel.
4:45pm: We were invited to a Seder, STAYTHEF*CKHOME!
but we are not going to a dinner party, sorry. WTF? NO PARTIES!
The dogs got fed and went outside. ZERO CONTACT!
We drank a cup of espresso and ate a cold piece of pizza.
We didn’t go to the market. We’ll just wait until Monday or Tuesday.
THERE IS A CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC! YOU CAN STILL GET SICK AND DIE!
There will be another spike because of Spring Break, stupidity, and carelessness.
7:55pm: We took another nap. We woke up and drank another espresso.
We took the dogs outside. We played with the dogs.
We checked in with the Vegas Livestreams. WORSE THAN LAST NIGHT!
BA DUM TCCH.
