Thanks to William Shakespeare and the play “Julius Caesar” we’ve all heard of The Ides of March. The story goes, in 44 BC a seer told Julius Caesar that his downfall would come no later than the Ides of March (March 15th). Caesar ignored him and later joked with the seer “The Ides of March have come.” The seer replied, “aye, Caesar; but not gone.” Caesar then attended the meeting of the Senate at the Theatre of Pompey, and was murdered by as many as 60 conspirators.

9:05am: Good morning Monday! They said it was gonna rain. And it’s raining.
It’s been raining for a few hours, not too hard, but constant, and there’s a lot of water.

Award shows? This year? Really? Why not just cancel and give the money to relief.
You don’t need a three and half hour commercial for your entertainment products….
people are trapped at home with no alternatives, just market directly to them.

The dogs got fed and they went outside before and after. We got the newspapers.
We made some breakfast. We didn’t really have dinner last night: we ate one cold slice of pizza and that was it, so we were hungry this morning and so we had dinner for breakfast.
On The Menu: 2 hotdogs with mustard, cheese and chopped onions with a dill pickle for breakfast. And an espresso to drink.
2:15pm: And then the housekeeper came. We got the mail.
We isolated with the dogs in the Home Office while she was here.
When she finished, and after she left, we took the dogs outside again.

And there were TWO late night pursuits last night!
The first was a nut job street racing through traffic on the freeway at really high speed.
The driver blew the engine, thankfully, and the car slowly came to a stop on the highway.
And the driver and his passengers surrendered.
The second pursuit happened at midnight, but there was still a helicopter to cover it!
Dude stole a stakebed truck and spike strips were deployed, the front tires went flat, but the driver kept pushing the truck until he was grinding the front end on the road at 30mph.
He drove on for a long time trailing sparks until the truck caught on fire. He pulled to the center median, with the flames under the cab, and foot bailed across the freeway, ran up the side of a hill and just gave up on the hillside when he ran out of motivation. Ended in Upland.
Suspect in custody, Truck on fire. IT WAS A REALLY GOOD ONE FOR US!
5:10pm: We ate the last four slices of leftover pizza. We took the dogs outside.
We made another espresso.
Now we’re back chilling’ in the Home Office until it’s the dog’s suppertime.
We have to adjust their feeding schedule because of Daylight Savings,
another problem from this bulls*t time change.
Deb Haaland was confirmed as the next Secretary of the Interior
and the first Native American cabinet-member in U.S. history today!
WE MUST RESTORE OUR NATIONAL PARKS AND NATIONAL MONUMENTS!
REMOVE THE TRUMP STOOGES FROM THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE!
REGULATIONS AND PROTECTIONS FOR LAND, AIR, AND WILDLIFE AGAIN!
Oil, gas, mining and tinder companies must pay for the damage they do!

11:25pm: Monday Night Live! Recapping the evening.
We waited to feed the dogs and we said, “oh we’ll just lie down for a minute”….
And two hour later we woke up and fed the dogs at 8:00pm.
(which is actually only 7:00pm because of Daylight Savings)
So we took the dogs out, and they got supper, and we took the dogs out,
AND IT IS COLD OUT TONIGHT. And this is Los Angeles winter in Spring. WTF?
We talked to our friend in Texas earlier, and it’s colder here than it is there today.
The dogs are happy, and we are back to our normal state of anxiety and stress almost.
Still recovering from last week and the weekend…. feeling better now.
We just took the dogs out and drank an iced espresso,
and we are thinking about food and it’s 11:40pm.

Tuesday, March 16, 2021 – Do Not TravelTuesday!
It’s the 75th day of the year. WE ARE ALL “SAFER-AT-HOME”
On The Menu: Corn chowder with bacon and crushed Ritz crackers
4:45am: We made some corn chowder and ate it. And then we had some ice cream.
We took the dogs out again. They slept, we didn’t. We watched youtube.
We woke them up, took them outside again, and now we’re back in the Home Office.
(and we think we fell asleep around 6:00am)
It’s National Panda Day!
Giant Pandas are native to mainland China,
Pandas are members of the Bear family (Ursidae).

Pandas eat mostly plants (bamboo) and they do not hibernate in the winter.

We are all messed up because of the time change. Spring forward my a**.
We woke up. We took the dogs outside. It’s cold out there. The dogs got fed.

9:30am: Well, we wasted an hour watching the “news” and working on this Blog Post.

Just more distraction. But what else do we have to do today?

10:25am: Another hour wasted. We made and drank another cup of espresso.
We decided to fast this morning and not eat until we get really hungry later.
11:45am: We took the dogs out to run around again. It’s a beautiful day after the rain.
Very bright out. Sunny and cold. Almost noon now.

These daily musical livestreams have really helped us get through the isolation.
NOTE: We started the pandemic watching Melissa Etheridge’s wonderful livestreams everyday, but then her son overdosed, and they switched to a “pay for the performance monthly” model, so we left her behind. Too many other FREE options for entertainment. We all know artists have to make money, but the audience ultimately gets to decide what they want to pay money for.
And hats off to “420Live with Jeff Kravitz” (the photographer)! He has great guests on his podcast and he doesn’t usually wear a jacket, white shirt, and tie:
We took a nap and when we woke up we took the dogs outside again.
They were chillin’ in the office while we enjoyed the first show.
Now they’re taking a nap and we are thinking about food.
We did eat a few crackers. And we just drank another espresso.
And it’s TACO TUESDAY! And we have taco makings. SO TACOS TONIGHT!
6:15pm: CHILL AFTERNOON. We didn’t do sh*t.
We thought about going to the market this morning.
And we thought about running errands this afternoon.
We realized there was no reason to leave the house today.
We have food and the errands can wait until tomorrow.
We thought about going out, but the party was on the interweb today!
We scooped some poop. And prepped the dog’s supper.

11:00pm: How did it get to be ELEVEN O’CLOCK?
We just prepped our dinner and it’s ready for cooking. Tacos in just a bit!
We watched the news, we watched the inter web, we worked on our Blog Post(s).
The dogs got fed and went outside on both sides.
And they were chilllin’ and then they were napping.
We have no idea how it got to be late…. so time for dinner.
We haven’t eaten all day, except for a stack of Ritz crackers along the way.
Wednesday, March 17, 2021 – Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
STAY HOME! DON’T GO ANYWHERE! DON’T GO OUT!
JUST STAYTHEFUCKHOME! Pretend you went out and got shitfaced.
Drink your beer, Irish whiskey, and Jager at home, get sick at home,
no one will know you got sick, pass out at home,
DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE! (and Don’t Drink and eBay too)
6:15am: We made tacos and ate them.
Then we took the dogs outside again.
On The Menu: 3 Beef Soft Tacos with fresh made guacamole at 1:00am.
We fell asleep for a couple hours and woke up too early.
And we’ve been awake and now it’s time to take care of the dogs again.
Daylight Savings time sucks.
6:55am: The dogs are fed. And we went outside on both sides of their breakfast.
We got the newspapers. We thought about going to the market.
And we are trying to decide whether to drink espresso today.
Now we’re chillin’ in the Home Office with the dogs.
10:25am: And we are awake again. We fell asleep for a couple hours.
We got the water bottles and the mail. We drank a cup of espresso.
Drink Coffee. Drink Water.
2:45pm: And we are awake again. We fell asleep for a few hours.
We took the dogs outside and just said hello to the gardener.
3:55pm: And the gardener is finished with his work and he’s gone.
4:50pm: We took the dogs outside. We drank another cup of espresso.
And we’re going to make breakfast for supper before we feed the dogs again.

HOLY SH*T! They’re having a CoronaVirus Party for St. Patrick’s Day.
Party in Key West at Irish Kevin’s Bar! Hardly a mask in sight…. so unbelievably dumb.
Does this make you angry? F*ckin’ Florida. WTF? And these are only two screenshots take at 8:15pm EST…. this COVID-19 party continues all night long, And then they all go home.
8:05pm: The egg came first. Breakfast for supper.
We took the dogs outside again and then put them in the bedroom while we cooked and ate.
Then we took them outside again, fed them dinner and took them outside again.
And then we had them in the Home Office and we took them outside again.
Then we put them into the bedroom and that’s where they are right now for a little while.
We are updating our Blog Post. We have another Blog Post that we need to post now.
But we have to finish it tonight. And it’s St. Patrick’s Day, so we aren’t going anywhere.
On The Menu: Two eggs over medium, bacon, grilled chicken breast,
two toasted English muffins with peanut butter and raspberry jam,
with another espresso to drink
12:05am Thursday: Recapping Wednesday night.
We ate and then fell asleep for a couple hours again. We woke up at 11:00pm.
We took the dogs outside. And now we’re awake again. Thursday morning is here.
The “Irish Tricolor” Flag: The National Flag of the Republic of Ireland
Green represents Irish Nationalism.
Orange represents Northern Ireland’s Protestant minority and the Orange Order.
White represents a lasting peace between the two.
The color orange is associated with the Northern Irish Protestants.
William of Orange (William III) defeated deposed English King James II,

Green Beer? “Mark it zero!”
“Green beer” is a brewers’ term still used today. It is beer that’s too young or “green” and contains acetaldehyde, which is bad because it’s not fully fermented and not good for drinking.
In 1910, the Spokane Press headline: “Green Beer Be Jabbers!” 
Tthe First Avenue Bar in Spokane, Washington, served it to patriotic Irishmen (and to anyone else) who wanted to drink some ‘green beer’. It was later credited to Professor Thomas H. Curtin, a physician, he made it for his clubhouse in New York as early as 1914, but other green beers appeared around the same time and earlier.
To make “GREEN BEER” just add blue food coloring to a yellow beer. SCIENCE (not magic).

Sláinte means “health” and sláinte mhaith means “good health”
in Irish and Scottish Gaelic. It is a common drinking toast in Ireland,
The proper response is sláinte agatsa, which means “to your health as well”
Shamrocks are associated with St. Patrick.
