Monday, December 28, 2020 – Merry, Happy, whatever….
The fourth day of Christmas – 4 Colly Birds (coal black birds)
and the third night of Kwanzaa – Ujima: collective work and responsibility
4:00am: Raining again.
We watched the Disney animated classics
“Snow White and The Seven Dwarves” and “Alice In Wonderland”.
6:15pm: Monday, Monday. Here’s a recap of that day:
We didn’t sleep much last night. It rained most of the day on Monday.
We fed the dogs, and took them outside and got the newspapers.
The housekeeper came and did a little cleaning too.
We got the mail and went to the dentist and came home.
We went to the dentist last week, and we had to go back today.
Why? We had irritation all weekend behind one of our teeth and we need to make sure it wasn’t a problem. We got the all clear from our dentist, and then it wasn’t irritated anymore. WTF? It must have been inside out head, not just inside our mouth.
But everything feels fine now.
NOTE: It is still super stressful to go out in public here in Los Angeles, and then into a medical building (we took the stairs not the elevator), and then sit in a waiting room with a stranger and the receptionist (everyone masked or course), then have the dentist in your mouth, and then go back into public…. and it is really exhausting too. Or maybe it was because we didn’t sleep,
We ate a toasted onion bagel with cream cheese and drank espresso.
We fell asleep with the dogs and woke up around 3:30pm.
Now it’s time for Monday Night Football – Buffalo Bills v. New England Patriots
and time to Blog. The Bills are leading 24-9 at Halftime.
And we are listening to a youtube vid of The Grateful Dead live on 12-28-84 at the San Francisco Civic Auditorium (since renamed the Bill Graham Memorial Auditorium)
We know where we were today in 1984 (and also 1983):
We needed to sleep but were woken up twice in two hours by dogs barking for no reason.
We slept for a little bit and woke up hungry at 11:00pm. Time for dinner.
On The Menu: Chicken pot pie with mashed potatoes and gravy
We watched “Guardians of the Galaxy”, “Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2” and “Thor: Ragnarok” again over the last couple days, following our first viewing of “Captain Marvel”

There was a pursuit tonight here in the San Fernando Valley:
after and short chase, the suspect ditched the car
and ran into the LA River Wash tunnels, so there was late-night search too.
Don’t know if they caught him. Maybe he got away….. HAHAHA.
Pursuits and car chases are a regular occurrence here and Damon has a nice collection of past car chase vids on his channel, and he also runs chases from other states sometimes.
We love watching LIVE car chases. And we discovered his Periscope channel, but now that Periscope is shutting down, we watch him on YouTube (he’s also on Twitch and Twitter).
Moscow Mitch blocked a $2000 stimulus payment today (again).
How does a $600.00 stimulus check = gas, food, lodging for 10 months?
People who lost their jobs in March…. unemployment’s running out.
Eviction moratoriums expiring. People need to eat and feed their families.

2:00am: We are loving Disney+. And AmazonPrime.
For those not following along, we just replaced our TV system.
Now, when there’s nothing on television, there’s always something on.
And we still have Netflix. And HBO. And Showtime. And the Apps too.
There’s always something we haven’t seen now. And that’s saying a lot.
LOTS OF NEW CONTENT! Lots of cool stuff,
and things hidden behind the paywalll we wanted to see and can now.
9:00am: We woke up with a headache.
The dogs got fed and went outside. We got the newspapers.

Well, we didn’t sleep a lot and we didn’t sleep well.
It was a bad headache when we first woke up… like hangover bad.
We drank some orange juice and an espresso and ate a banana.
