Saturday, December 26, 2020 – Happy Boxing Day!
The second day of Christmas, the first night of Kwanzaa
Happy Kwanzaa! – BLACKLIVESMATTER!

(“Boxing Day” – this just never gets old)

3:00am: “It’s A Wonderful Life” – a timeless Frank Capra classic!
We watched it again yesterday after the football game.

We hope you had a happy and safe Christmas holiday!

7:15am: Dogs are fed. Newspapers are got.
We were outside  with dogs three times already this morning.
We’ve had a cup of espresso and a little juice.

It’s the First Night of Kwanzaa! Umoja – Unity! 71R5hrKZgVL._SX425_

9:30pm: Nothing happened today.
There were three NFL Football games, that is all.
It was a long boring day. We didn’t do anything.
We slept a lot because we needed it.
We spent the day with the dogs, inside and outside.
They might be bored too, but they didn’t say anything.

The third day of Christmas – 3 French hens
and the second night of Kwanzaa – Kujichagulia: self-determination

We took the dogs out at 5:30am and got the newspapers at 6:30am.
We went to the market at 7:00am and we were home before 8:00am.
We put the groceries away and took a shower.
The dogs got fed and went outside. Then we all fell asleep.

NFL Football. The Kansas City team wins, and they beat the Atlanta Falcons.
We slept through three quarters of the game.
And okay, we’re awake again… We woke up and took the dogs outside again.
It’s a beautiful sunny day, blue skies, white clouds, with just a little chill in the air.

The Denver Broncos are going to lose to the Los Angeles Chargers. And the game is only halfway through the second quarter right now. The score is 10-nothing Chargers ahead.
The Broncos got a first-down! But there’s a penalty flag and Bellamy is injured.
Lock, the Denver Quarterback already threw one interception, and he’s set turnover records this season, even though he was out with COVID-19 for a game. And a missed field goal too.
Almost halftime, and we are getting really hungry now.

On The Menu: Lunch! Turkey, bacon, lettuce sandwich with pepper jack cheese on toasted French bread, half an avocado, dill pickle, celery and carrot sticks, tortilla chips and an espresso to drink

3:30pm: We ate a good lunch. It’s getting very windy outside. And the Denver Broncos are trying to make a game of it in the Fourth Quarter! It’s 13-16 and the Broncos just got the ball back with five and half minutes left to play now. TOO BAD THIS GAME DOESN’T MATTER.
And now the football game is tied with 2:42 left to play in regulation.
The Chargers drove down field and kicked a field goal to take the lead.
BRONCOS LOSE! Game over. 5-10 Season over. Maybe next year.

5:45pm: We fell asleep with the dogs and woke up.
We went outside, and they got fed, and we went outside again.

8:00pm: Tennessee Titans v. Green Bay Packers – Does this game matter at all? Really?
The Packers beat the sh*t out of the Titans. We fell asleep again for about an hour and a half. We woke up and took the dogs outside.

Creatures that live in my neighborhood: Birds and squirrels, rats, bats and lizards, oppossums, raccoons, and coyotes, in addition to the dogs and cats. We can see and hear them.
Something just spooked the dogs, and set them off… (we heard it too)
and tonight it was the coyotes.
Triggered. see below.

11:45pm: The storm has arrived…. and it’s raining!
WIND AND RAIN! THUNDER AND LIGHTNING! Oh so frightening.
We brought the dogs into the Home Office in case they were scared.
When there was a break in the rain after the storm had passed,
we took them outside to do business before putting them back to bed.
And all is well on the last Monday of 2020…. well, pretty much.
