CV! Part 95 – Merry Christmas (Thursday-Friday)
Thursday, December 24, 2020 – Christmas Eve Day
“Is this a weekday?”
Well the weather outside is frightful,
dum, dee, dum, delightful….
Murray Christmas!
“Santa Claus is comin’ to town!”
Oh, hey, HELLO THERE! It’s the day before Christmas Day.
And later it will be Christmas Eve….
Okay, actually it is Christmas Eve right now as we are writing this Blog Post.
We are “safer-at-home” in the beautiful SFV tonight.
It was cold and it actually rained a little here today… almost a miracle!
The dogs got taken care of all day long.
They got fed breakfast and a big Christmas dinner with snacks and carrots.
They have their peanut butter filled bones to chew and lick.
VERY HAPPY DOGS! And that makes us very happy.
We took a nap in the afternoon with the dogs.
We finished our previous Blog Post “Happy Winter Solstice” and published it.
And we didn’t leave the house, although it was really beautiful outside in the backyard last night before the “rain” and then again today after when everything was moist.
(hahahaha, we said “moist” – is anyone offended?)
“Where do you think you’re going?
Nobody’s leaving. Nobody’s walking out on this fun, old-fashioned family Christmas.
No, no. We’re all in this together. This is a full-blown, four-alarm holiday emergency here.
We’re gonna press on, and we’re gonna have the hap, hap, happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny f*cking Kaye. And when Santa squeezes his fat white a** down that chimney tonight, he’s gonna find the jolliest bunch of A**holes this side of the nuthouse.”
“Bend Over And I’ll Show You!”
WOOF! Woof! (Merry Christmas from the good boys!)
And we haven’t really eaten anything today again…. so we are hungry for dinner at 8:30pm. We just finished an espresso and then we put the dogs down for a nap while we figure out our food.

Friday, December 25, 2020 – ALOHA! It’s Christmas Day!

12:20am: We ate the chili dogs and fell asleep for an hour and a half.
While we were sleeping, Santa came!
Well actually, we got the Disney+ code for Christmas!
And so we watched “Captain Marvel” for our first Disney+ film choice. Ho-Ho-Ho!
We hadn’t seen it, and we wanted to see it, and so we saw it! Also, we avoided all the hype, media, and spoilers, so we knew almost nothing about the film going in on purpose.
And we enjoyed it too. We like the Marvel Superhero films (mostly), and we really enjoyed the version of Captain Marvel portrayed by Brie Larson in the film, the origin story, the backstory, and Samuel L. Jackson as digitally younger Nick Fury (and his origin story) was really cool.
Looking forward to finally seeing all the other recent releases under the Disney+ banner now!
And YES, we are entertained.
8:00am: We were up all night again. We got the newspapers.
And we just finished taking morning care of the dogs. We were outside, and they got fed, and we were outside again. And now they are back to napping, after breakfast and snacks. And since it’s Christmas morning they got something special coming…
probably some unseasoned scrambled eggs when we make our breakfast/brunch.
DRINK WATER. Drink coffee.
4:45pm: MERRY CHRISTMAS! It was a beautiful California day outside!
NFL Football! Friday! New Orleans Saints v. Minnesota Vikings.
Spoiler Alert: Vikings Lost. Saints Won. Game just ended, but it was over awhile ago.
We slept. We woke up. We felt like “The Hangover”….
We went back to bed and slept a little bit more. We woke up.
We took the dogs outside for most of the 4th Quarter.
We’ll feed them in about an hour. I think we might eat something now. Maybe.
Santa Claus (sings):
“Jingle, jingle, jingle / You will hear my sleigh bells ring.
I am old Kris Kringle / I’m the King of Jingle-ling”
We love the Rankin-Bass stop-motion classics!
We already watched “Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town”
and “The Year Without A Santa Claus” this year.
They always bring back the memories of the winter holidays past.

Herbie the elf wants to be a dentist. With the voice of Burl Ives!
