Today was TV DAY…. and that means GOODBYE DIRECTV. Hello Spectrum and AppleTV.
Ever since AT&T took over DirecTV, customer service has gone to hell… NO SERVICEf There’s no way to get help and then if you do, it’s not helpful, and you spend hours on hold. FAIL.
TOTAL FAIL. So, we switched to Spectrum.

So not just one, but two guys came, and disconnected the DirecTV, rewired the house, and installed the Spectrum boxes. They get tested every three weeks (One guy told me when I asked) and he had been tested over a week ago. And they’re not allowed by Spectrum to connect the AppleTV boxes, you have to plug them in yourself.

Wednesday, November 11, 2020 – VETERAN’S DAY

New washer and dryer day! Goodbye to the washer/dryer that never worked right, hello to the brand new washer/dryer that will probably work right until the warrantee expires…. that’s how they build thing now. Appliances and electronics are “disposable” products instead of being BUILT TO LAST. It’s all about the economics.. They could build stuff that actually lasts a lifetime and make electronic products that are upgradable, but WHERE IS THE PROFIT IN THAT?

So, the dudes came and delivered the large, heavy appliances. They move the old ones out to the front driveway and installed the new ones in their place. And then late in the evening, our housekeeper came and picked up the old washer/dryer.

Two guys (independent IT guys not cable guys) came to adjust our internet and sync the Spectrum boxes this morning, because after one day we need service on the new TV system….
Kind of lost it this morning. Too many people in the house. Not enough social distancing.
Our anxiety is extremely high and we are feeling very stressed. And we haven’t slept in days.
And the housekeeper is here today to compound it all.
So we got a cup of espresso, heated some leftover Chinese food in the microwave for breakfast, and we are holed up in the Home Office with the dogs while she cleans.
SO TODAY TOTALLY SUCKS SO FAR AND IT’S ONLY 11:30am.
