FIRE! FIRE! FIRE! So many fires are burning!
All thirteen western states, including Alaska, have fires burning out of control.

The Almeda Fire (aka the Glendower Fire) in southern Oregon threatened The Ranch in Ashland! There was a mandatory evacuation order issued. It was close, but the fire missed The Ranch and burned north all along the I-5 freeway corridor into Medford. Unfortunately the towns of Talent and Phoenix were not spared and the fire damage is just horrible! The wind driven fire burned homes, apartments, businesses and land for miles….

Last week my friends in Santa Cruz were forced to evacuate. Fortunately their homes were spared, but so many people weren’t so lucky. My friends in Bend,Oregon. were forced to evacuate and they still don’t know if the fire reached their properties. The sky in Los Angeles was orange today and there was no moon or stars, or sky, at night, only smoke and haze.

NOTE: We lost interest in pretty much everything this week.
Fires are raging across the west. Almost lost The Ranch in Oregon.
The damage to the local communities is beyond belief….
Over 5000 homes destroyed! Businesses and forest lost to fire.
The fires in Santa Cruz missed my friends. They were evacuated.
The fires around Los Angeles affected air quality and continue to burn!
So we are finishing this Blog Post on September 18th… and it’s not finished.
But we are moving on to the next Blog Post…. trying to stay interested.

As of Friday, September 11, 2020:
193000+ U.S. Citizens have died from Covid-19 as of Today!
251020+ Reported Cases and 6125+ Deaths in Los Angeles County
753000+ Reported Cases and 14090+ Deaths in California
6420000+ Reported Cases and 193000+ Deaths in the United States
(and all these numbers are most likely under-reported!)

COVID-19, THE CORONAVIRUS, affects different people in different ways.
Infected people have had a wide range of symptoms reported
– from mild symptoms to severe illness.

Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus.
People with these symptoms may have COVID-19:
Fever or chills
Cough
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Fatigue
Muscle or body aches
Headache
New loss of taste or smell
Sore throat
Congestion or runny nose
Nausea or vomiting
Diarrhea

Look for emergency warning signs for COVID-19.
If someone is showing any of these signs, seek emergency medical care immediately:
Trouble breathing
Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
New confusion
Inability to wake or stay awake
Bluish lips or face

If you have possible or confirmed COVID-19:
Stay home except to get medical care.
Monitor your symptoms carefully. If your symptoms get worse, call your healthcare provider immediately.
Get rest and stay hydrated. Take over-the-counter medicines, such as acetaminophen, to help you feel better.
If you have a medical appointment, notify your healthcare provider ahead of time that you have or may have COVID-19.
Stay in a specific room and away from other people in your home. If possible, use a separate bathroom. If you must be around others, wear a mask.
Call your doctor and/or hospital before you go for medical care.

Mental health problems are common.
Here are ways to cope with stress and promote wellbeing:
Take slow deep breaths, stretch, or meditate.
Observe how you are feeling and what you are thinking, without judgment
Take breaks from upsetting content
Make time to unwind. Try relaxation techniques and listening to music. Try to do some other activities you enjoy.
Take care of your body
Exercise regularly. Get plenty of sleep.
Try to eat healthy, well-balanced meals.
Avoid alcohol and drugs.
Reach out and stay connected
Talk with people you trust about your concerns and how you are feeling.
Check in with your loved ones often.
Seek help if overwhelmed or unsafe
If you, or someone you know, are feeling overwhelmed with emotions like sadness, depression, or anxiety, or feel like you want to harm yourself or others, seek professional help immediately.

February 7th:
Trump to Bob Woodward: “It goes through air, Bob. That’s always tougher than the touch. You know, the touch, you don’t have to touch things. Right? But the air, you just breathe the air and that’s how it’s passed. … And so, that’s a very tricky one. That’s a very delicate one. It’s also more deadly than your—you know, your, even your strenuous flus. You know, people don’t realize, we lose 25,000, 30,000 people a year here. Who would ever think that, right? Pretty amazing. And then I say, well, is that the same thing? This is more deadly. This is 5 per—you know, this is 5 percent versus 1 percent and less than 1 percent. You know? So, this is deadly stuff.”
February 7:
That same day, on the morning of February 7th, the president mentioned, without supporting evidence, that Covid-19 could dissipate with the arrival of warmer weather, much like the seasonal flu. Trump tweeted that the “virus hopefully becomes weaker with warmer weather, and then gone.”
February 10:
During a meeting with U.S. governors at the White House, when asked about the coronavirus, Trump said, “A lot of people think that goes away in April with the heat — as the heat comes in. Typically, that will go away in April. We’re in great shape, though. We have 12 cases — 11 cases, and many of them are in good shape now.”
February 19:
“I think it’s going to work out fine,” Trump said on Feb. 19. “I think when we get into April, in the warmer weather, that has a very negative effect on that and that type of a virus.”
February 26:
“The flu, in our country, kills from 25,000 people to 69,000 people a year,” Trump said during a Coronavirus Task Force briefing.” And, so far, if you look at what we have with the 15 people and their recovery, one is — one is pretty sick but hopefully will recover, but the others are in great shape. But think of that: 25,000 to 69,000.” Trump then added, “And again, when you have 15 people, and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero, that’s a pretty good job we’ve done.”
February 27:
“And you know what? If we were doing a bad job, we should also be criticized. But we have done an incredible job. We’re going to continue,” Trump said from inside the Cabinet Room. “It’s going to disappear. One day — it’s like a miracle — it will disappear.”
February 24:
“The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA,” Trump tweeted. “We are in contact with everyone and all relevant countries. CDC & World Health have been working hard and very smart. Stock Market starting to look very good to me!”
The U.S. could have prevented roughly 36,000 coronavirus-related deaths if broad social distancing measures had been put in place just one week earlier in March, according to a study published by analysts from Columbia University.
Joe Biden said yesterday: “He knew it and purposely played it down. Worse, he lied to the American people. He knowingly and willingly lied. It’s beyond despicable. It’s a dereliction of duty. It’s a disgrace. He failed to do his job on purpose. It was a life-and-death betrayal of the American people.” -Forbes
