8:00am: We got dressed and went to the market for groceries and fresh produce before dawn. They open at 6:00am and we were there shopping before 7:00am. Trying to avoid other people and some people are just fucking stupid and still don’t understand “social distancing” and can’t stay six feet away. And NO WE DO NOT WANT TO SELF-CHECKOUT – GET A CASHIER AND A BAGGER PLEASE! And of course the guy’s not wearing his mask over his nose. We got home and unpacked (cleaned and sanitized) and took care of the dog, we were outside and he got breakfast, and we were outside again and we had an espresso. And now we are back in the Home Office trying to relax a little and let the stress go, so we can have breakfast. And the LIttle Boy is under the desk with his bone.
Well the network news had no news….just bullshit morning show happy happy distraction, and CNN has the Senate hearing with Dr. Fauci and the FDA, CDC, and other Trump administration health directors. We are all going to die. Just a matter of time.

It’s Canada’s birthday!
Canada Day is a national holiday celebrating The British North America Act (now known as the Constitution Act of 1867) and the anniversary of the joining of the colonies of Canada (Ontario and Quebec), Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick into a single Dominion (a British Federation of four provinces) on July 1, 1867. It was known as Dominion Day until 1982.
The CoronaVirus news today is not good (to say the least). Record number of cases in the United States. Infections are multiplying exponentially as predicted if there were no controls. Trump still thinks it will magically go away, he said so today! Republicans have decided that politicizing the wearing of masks might have been a mistake, TOO LATE NOW. Hospitals are being overwhelmed, medical personnel is being overworked, there is not enough testing, and still not enough PPE or testing supplies. And no end in sight.

6:00pm: And we can relax again…..
The dogs are fed and we were outside on both sides.
And now they are laying down after a long day and a good supper.
They got fed this morning and had a busy day around the house.
The chores are all done, except now we are going to clean and sanitize the kitchen once again. We gave our housekeeper the week off again (with pay of course) and told her to stay home and stay safe. We can do the “maintenance” cleaning and we usually take care of our office and laundry, so she can focus on the really important housecleaning stuff.
And we have to do a little gardening and yard stuff (and scoop some poop) this evening or in the morning before the gardeners come back tomorrow.
We want to go out, BUT WE DON’T WANT TO GO OUT. So many stupid people.
Four months of Forced Lockdown and Self-Isolation has kept us safe so far, but we have only been out for groceries once every two weeks, and an occasional errand or trip to the Post Office always off hours. We made one long trip to the beach and back, but that’s it for going out. And we have said NO to all invitations for masked parties (even outside).
We double mask with a sealed N95 and then folded cloth medical over it. We are still using rubber gloves and sanitizing with rubbing alcohol (rather than hand sanitizer).
7:45pm: We just took a very short nap!
And now we are awake again and thinking about dinner.
And we didn’t eat dinner. We ate nacho cheese Doritos, peanut M&Ms, a celery stalk, half a carrot, some red grapes, and an apple over the course of the night. And we fell asleep for a hour twice. And we were outside with the dogs of course. (Friday at 4:00am)

Happy 4th of July Weekend!

8:30am: We’ve been awake since before 4:00am. The dogs have been fed. We have been outside a bunch of times. The gardener is here early to work in the yard all day. There are gardeners next door and the construction continues across the street. And the new thing is the hawk (or pair of hawks) that roost in the tall trees and screech. And they start before the sun comes up (5:30am) and yesterday there was one on the ground in the yard and then it was sitting on the pool fence, which is new. And there is also the owl (or owls now) at night but they don’t make a lot of noise, but we worry about our Little Girl dog because she’s little and when she’s shaved for summer she’s really little.
So we made a toasted cheese sandwich on sourdough bread and had a little juice and an espresso for breakfast. And we got the newspapers and then cleaned up some dog poop.
2:00pm: We slept. And we woke up and took the dogs outside.
And then we lost Friday…. nothing happened. We made and ate a pastrami sandwich on a toasted onion bagel. We watched TV and surfed the interweb. We slept and did other things that we don’t remember as we are writing early Sunday morning.

We “binge-watched” the four episodes of the Jeffrey Epstein documentary on Netflix. OMG. It’s a great doc, but it’s not objective. It’s impossible to be objective.
We recommend you see it. Very important people wanted/needed him dead.
He had blackmail on EVERYONE who visited his houses or Pedo Island!
How many girls and women did he actually rape, sexually assault and traffic?
We expect Alan Dershowitz to have a sudden accident or fatal illness very soon.
And we hope Ghislaine Maxwell confesses everything before they kill her too.

The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) voted to defund and cut the budget of the Los Angeles School Police. Yes, in LA we have a separate police force to serve and protect the public schools and adjacent neighborhoods. They operate under a different chain-of-command than the LAPD and they keep the schools safe. So, yesterday, when the budget was cut by 35%, Todd Chamberlain the current white Chief of the School Police resigned. And today, Deputy Chief Leslie Ramirez, a 22 year veteran of the School Police, and a person of color, was appointed to be the Interim Chief.
Los Angeles, Ventura and Orange counties closed the public beaches for the holiday weekend to avoid crowding and to try to slow the spread.
