Tuesday 2020 Thoughts.. JANUARY 2020.

How was your day? How was your week? How’s your year been so far?
It’s already January 15th, so we are two weeks into the NEW YEAR right now!
Did you make a New Year’s Resolution? How’s that going?

No problemo.
We are banging out the Blog Posts, so check out the 2020 Blogs below!

We were very sick with a cold for the first week of the year, and we are still recovering as the second week ends tonight. We have been living in our pajamas, bringing in food and scrounging for what’s still in the fridge and pantry. So, we haven’t really been out of the house much to enjoy the lovely winter weather here in Los Angeles. We’ve been taking care of our dogs and watching the world go to Hell on television and the interweb. We’ll hold off on POLITICS in this Blog Post because Martin Luther King Jr Day is coming and we’ll put it all together next week. It’s actually all very upsetting and depressing.

TravelTuesday! (remember JoshWillTravel is the name of this Blog)

We went back to Las Vegas in December 2019, right after Thanksgiving and just before the holidays began. And we can say that we are very happy that the holidays are over! It’s snowing again in Ashland, Oregon today. We don’t like to travel during the holiday season for all the obvious reasons and the weather in Los Angeles in the winter is much more human friendly, so we usually stay local and celebrate with family and friends.

We still haven’t posted the Oregon Eclipse and Burning Man 2017 Blog Post(s) yet.
And so we apologize for the long delay… the Blogs are laid out and constructed but still remain unfinished. They will see the light of your computer monitors soon, really.

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.” – Mark Twain

My Way
by Paul Anka
So now the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
My friend I’ll say it clear
I’ll state my case of which I’m certain
I’ve lived a life that’s full
I traveled each and every highway
And more much more than this
I did it my way.
Regrets, I’ve had a few
But then again too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exception
I planned each chartered course
Each careful step alone the by way
And more much more than this
I did it my way.
Yes there were times I’m sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I face it all and I stood tall
And did it my way.
I’ve loved, I’ve laughed and cried
I’ve had my fill my share of loosing
And the now as tears subside
I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that and my I say
Not in a shy way
Oh no, oh no not me
I did it my way!

TikiTuesday – “ALOHA!”

“Aloha” A Hawaiian word used when saying Hello or Goodbye.

The real meaning of “Aloha” in Hawaiian is that of Love, Peace, and Compassion.
“Aloha” means living in harmony with other people and the land with mercy, sympathy, grace, kindness, and a mutual understanding of respect.

The “Shaka” hand gesture is made by holding the hand in a loose fist and extending the thumb and pinky finger with the back of the hand facing the recipient. It is a sign of respect and mutual understanding, and symbolizes reverence, solidarity, compassion and friendship.

How about a nice strong cocktail? We have to admit that we are not a big drinker.
We have friends who are really big drinkers. Really big. Maybe too big.
(unfortunately we have too many friends of blessed memory who once drank a lot)
We have never been a big consumer of alcoholic beverages, unless you count those four years of college. We really only drink “socially” when we are with other people at a restaurant or bar, a party or an event where everyone is drinking.
PLEASE DRINK RESPONSIBLY!
KNOW WHEN TO SAY WHEN. DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE!

Is there a relationship between astronomical phenomena the human world? Can you assign aspects to a person’s personality and predict future events in their life based on the positions of the sun, moon, and other celestial objects at the time of their birth.?

“Astrology is a pseudoscience that claims to divine information about human affairs and terrestrial events by studying the movements and relative positions of celestial objects”
