How to make Potato Latkes (potato pancakes):
3 potatoes (peeled and grated), small onion (1/2 grated, 1/2 finely chopped). Add 2 eggs (beaten), 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 1/2 cup flour and 1/2 tsp baking powder. Mix ingredients well. Heat cooking oil to med high in large frying pan. Spoon 1 large tablespoon at a time into oil. Cook until crispy golden brown on each side. Drain and pat dry on paper towel and serve warm with applesauce and sour cream.
On the first night of Hannukah we also made a tasty meatloaf and steamed broccoli & carrots with our potato latkes for Hannukah dinner:
And then we sat down and ate our lovely meal while we watched the election results from Alabama come in.

(and the Republican party supported this criminal’s campaign).
Roy Moore’s wife Kayla’s election eve soundbite — “One of our attorneys is a Jew” — became an instant punchline, summing up “good ole boy” Republican Roy Moore’s long history of hate, bigotry, anti-semitism and racism.
“Fake news would tell you that we don’t care for Jews,” she told supporters, reading from notes as Roy Moore stood behind her. “I tell you all of this because I’ve seen it all, so I just want to set the record straight while they’re here.”
She waved to the reporters in the back of the room — many of them from New York and Washington — as the audience laughed, applauded and whistled, and Roy Moore smiled.
“One of our attorneys is a Jew” she said with a smirk and a sarcastic tone.
NOTE: Huge thanks to the African-American population of Alabama for coming out and voting to save the United States from a “cracker, ass, cracker” like racist Roy Moore.
