TIME! A YEAR IN THE LIFE… and Death.
NOTE: Here’s another draft from the past. We started this Blog before we received the news that two of our old friends died suddenly and unexpectedly over the space of two weeks, giving this Blog a whole new perspective. We left this one alone for a short time, tributes to Ann and Mario (of blessed memory) are in other Blog posts, and we returned and changed this around to make it something new, and then it sat again until today, when we finally published it. Take a moment in time and think about your life.
“Every year is getting shorter never seem to find the time…..”
Yesterday was the two year anniversary of the death of another good friend, and we also received word that another old friend from our past took his own life rather than face an uncertain surgery. He had no next of kin.

“TIME”– Pink Floyd (from Dark Side of The Moon)
DAVID JON GILMOUR, NICHOLAS BERKELEY MASON,
GEORGE ROGER WATERS, RICHARD WILLIAM WRIGHT
Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
Fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way
Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
So you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it’s sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way but you’re older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death
Every year is getting shorter never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over
Thought I’d something more to say
Home/Home again/I like to be here/When I can
When I come home/Cold and tired
It’s good to warm my bones/Beside the fire
Far away/Across the field
Tolling on the iron bell/Calls the faithful to their knees
To hear the softly spoken magic spell
We watched a LION lick his paws in Africa (on Periscope) the other day:
And we watched a mama Grizzly Bear fishing and feeding on salmon in Katmai National Park in Alaska (on Periscope) too:
“Wait to worry.”

All that you touch And all that you see
All that you taste All you feel
And all that you love And all that you hate
All you distrust All you save
And all that you give And all that you deal
And all that you buy, beg, borrow or steal
And all you create And all you destroy
And all that you do And all that you say
And all that you eat And everyone you meet
And all that you slight And everyone you fight
And all that is now And all that is gone
And all that’s to come
and everything under the sun is in tune
but the sun is eclipsed by the moon.
– Pink Floyd “Eclipse” from “Dark Side of the Moon”
“Time is fleeting.” “Tempus fugit!” “Time flies.”
